The more we connect though devises, the more we loose our connection. Eyes focused on our screens and eyes focused on us. Who are we watching, who’s watching us. How quickly we’re moving into an Orwellian novel.

41 Led Sled

In real life, its coming along just fine. The real world will imitate art.

in the 1950’s car guys were busy building old cars into their own styles. That meant changing hubcaps to cutting off roofs. Fenders were filled with led. These were built to be seen, not to go fast. They were low to the ground and heavy in led filled body work.

Sand casting poses significant health issues. The smoke from burning sand and polish used in silver and copper polishing pose risks that frankly, I’m not interested in. I have decided to conclude my silver casting. I’ve had a great run with it and been supported by some incredible customers. I thank you all for your support and I hope your individual items continue to bring you please and enjoyment in years to come.

With the silver shop dismantled and a huge void left for metal working, I have returned to my roots in Hot Rod building and will continue to paint. If there is an item of silver that catches your interest, be sure to let me know and I will reserve it for you.

Now, onto the next project; a 1941 Chevrolet Coupe.
This coupe is an older build that will be turned into a 1950’s style Led Sled. I attach for your viewing please an image of how she looks today and how she will look in this photoshop rendition. Watch for updates and enjoy the ride.

Ho Tai is often depicted in various forms as well, either with his arms above his head, reaching skyward, or sometimes holding a bag or knapsack over one shoulder. But no matter how he is depicted, he always has a happy face.

Signifies grace and internal beauty, and in Thai, he is called this “Phra LeeLaa”. Left hand raised, facing outward.

Happy Garden Buddha

Happy Buddha / Ho Tai / Prosperity Buddha

Ho Tai, as he is called in Chinese, is often confused with the Historical Buddha. But a word to the wise; Ho Tai is not the Buddha at all, but is actually a revered Chinese Monk. He is somewhat akin to the West’s Santa Claus / St. Nick, since Ho Tai was famous for his Buddhist sermons and for his bag full of gifts, which he brought to children in order to reward them for coming to learn about the Dharma.

Part of the reason Ho Tai is confused with the Buddha is because they both wear robes, and that in certain languages (Thai, for instance) the vernacular word for the Buddha and for Monks is the same, namely, the word “Phra.” It can be confusing even for us Thai people, because if someone were to use JUST the word Phra, we might not know whether they were referring to the Buddha himself, a monk, a statue of the Buddha, or even an amulet (religious pendant) featuring an image of the Buddha… or an image of a highly revered monk!

Ho Tai is often depicted in various forms as well, either with his arms above his head, reaching skyward, or sometimes holding a bag or knapsack over one shoulder. But no matter how he is depicted, he always has a happy face.
